Rated 4 out of 5 by Nicoletta from AEG 75cm cooktop - A functional & powerful unit. Overall the 75cm Aeg gas cooktop is a terrific addition to our kitchen. The placement of the 5 burners, with the wok burner to the side, means that more than one large pot can be used at the same time. I find this really useful. Also, the wok burner is very powerful and easily and quickly brings a large pot of water to rolling boil for pasta. I haven't used it with wok cooking yet but i have no doubt it would provide more than enough heat. The burners ignite easily. I like the solid cast iron trivets. My only small issue is the stainless steel appears easy to scratch - I'm very careful with cooking and cleaning and I still have a few small scratches within the first few months. Otherwise, the unit functions beautifully and looks really smart. The 75cm size is perfect for a family. One of the reasons I purchased was because of the 5 year warranty. I had to use this just after the stove was installed because the builders cleaners scratched it badly using a scourer to remove the sticker :-( Aeg were extremely helpful and promptly offered a relacement top which was installed with no fuss. Customer service has been outstanding.

All functions perform as expected. However, if had the option to redesign the knobs I would; they are round, smooth and polished, can be difficult to grip occasionally.

The down side is the control knobs can be pushed past their operating points, which stops the flame staying alight. also the rubber grommets under the knobs get easily dislodged when cleaning and fall into the cavity under.
